and Fungi Understanding the often highly productive biological relationship between plants and soil microorganisms is critical to nursery propagation. We boost the health, resistance, and vigor of our propagated plants, and promote the continued success of our projects by including naturally occurring soil organism in our growing mediums. |
Brings Native Fauna With this in mind, Freshwater Farms operates an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) nursery, which helps keep our plants growing healthy. Therefore, we have little use for herbicides and pesticides, and our customers receive a better product. At Freshwater Farms we encourage everyone: home owners, businesses, schools, and public parks, to plan their landscaping with the needs of wildlife in mind. As the human population encroaches further into natural areas, wildlife habitat decreases. You can do your part to provide food and cover in urban or rural areas by landscaping with native plants. |
Constructed wetland design and development planning services are provided by our experienced wetland planning team. Just as every wetland enhancement requires a good knowledge of the relationships and functions and values of the entire watershed, every revegetation project must include an understanding of nearby associated native vegetation types, soil geo-morphology, and hydrology. A systematic ecological approach to wetland design should always consider climate, topography, local plant, microfaunal and animal interactions, soil type, substrate, and seasonal factors. Please allow our excellent technical staff to assist you throughout the planning and implementation phases of your project.Vegetation Inventories
Vegetation surveys and monitoring, wetland delineations, and vegetation analyses are services provided by our experienced plant ecologists and wetland vegetation specialists. We can also assist with aerial photo interpretation, mapping, photo documentation and classification of vegetation systems. |
